Since they made their first public appearance at the 2017 MET Gala, rumors about the relationship between the gorgeous Indian actress and singer Priyanka Chopra with the American singer Nick Jonas have not stopped.
And naturally, after they made their relationship public and after their subsequently prompt engagement, the world could not wait to finally see their wedding as you would expect it to be something phenomenal from the very beginning.
Now, that the big day has passed, we can say with certainty that it was unbelievable and there is no surprise that their wedding is oftentimes called the Hollywood’s version of the royal wedding!
The beautiful bride shined in many outfits throughout her wedding weekend, paying tribute both to the Western culture as well as her Indian heritage.
Top A-list Indian designers were trusted with designing the wedding dress for her Indian ceremony. As for her Western ceremony, her dress was truly a one of a kind piece as it was designed by Ralph Lauren who has previously never designed a wedding dress for anyone other except for his family members, making Priyanka only the 4th person who had the honor to have a dress customized by Lauren.
It was also a very sentimental decision as noone else than Ralph Lauren was the designer who dressed Priyanka for the 2017 MET Gala, where she first appeared with her now husband.
The wedding dress was semi-sheer dress with lace effect tulle appliques, floral and scroll motifs, a high neck and scalloped long sleeves. The dress was of course all hand embroidered. Under the upper sheer layer of the dress, she wore a column dress that was embroidered with 2.380.000 mother of pearl sequins.
One of the most important parts of her whole look was a simple, raw edged tulle veil which due to its length provoked a wow effect, as it was 75 feet long and required 6 handlers to help the bride walk down the isle.
