How to choose a wedding theme?

In the past few years, all of the industries have gone through major changes. They changed the way we live, shop, what we wear or even eat.

And the wedding industry is no exception. The days of classic ‘’simple’’ weddings are far behind us. There are endless options out there nowadays as to how you can decorate your wedding.

And on the peak of their popularity are different wedding themes.

So if you’re planning your wedding this year, you might have found yourself a bit lost in all the options. But do not worry – we are here to help you throughout this process and hopefully by the end of this article, you will know in which direction you want to head.

First of all – don’t be afraid to apply your own personal touch to your wedding theme. It is your big day after all, so feel free to make it as personal as you want.

Look for inspiration in the smallest of things. Were you passing by a window of an antique shop and was there one small candelabra that caught your eye? Maybe that one candelabra can set the tone for your whole wedding.

You can get inspired even by the time of the year when your wedding is being held, but don’t feel obliged to necessarily create a winter wonderland theme, just because your wedding is in December. If you want some spring or summer vibes on your big day – just go with it. Make your guests forget about the weather outside through the environment you create inside.

The theme can be also inspired by the venue. You can either pick a venue accordingly to the theme you have in mind or vice versa – you can be once again inspired while searching for your special venue.

And, of course, one of the most important parts of the whole evening – your wedding dress can also serve as a perfect inspiration for you. If you found THE wedding dress you’ve been dreaming of your whole life – let it inspire you. Are there butterfly decorations sewn on the dress? Does it have magnificent floral applications? Make it your theme! Let all the setting and the decorations complement your wedding dress!

Another important thing is the color palette. Make sure everything works well together. If you want to dive into colors, choose just one bold color and let the other colors complement it.

The finishing touches that will bring the whole theme together are flowers, music and small details such as invitations, where you can already deliver a small sneak peak of the theme to your dear guests.

Be inspired by some of our most unique wedding dresses below!

Love,

Melanie
